SSMS Database Diagram Crash

I was attempting to create a database diagram with the SSMS 2012 diagramming tool today and ran into the following issue:"Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. (Microsoft.VisualStudio.OLE.Interop)"with the details:===================================Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
